DHA Children's GI Research Network

How We Help Kids

In 2008 with support from IFFGD, six of the foremost pediatric Functional GI and Motility Disorders (FGIMDs) researchers came together for a single purpose: to improve the quality of life for children with FGIMDs through collaborative research studies.

As a result of this ongoing cooperative effort, a consensus pediatric FGIMD research agenda has been established that emphasizes research projects focused on improving diagnosis and treatment of childhood FGIMDs.

The DHA Children’s GI Research Network was formed to effectively carry out these research projects and advance scientific understanding of pediatric FGIMDs in an organized and systematic way. The Network currently consists of six clinical care sites across the country that treat patients, share data, and work towards the common goal of ending the childhood suffering caused by pediatric FGIMDs.

Your support is the engine that drives the effort to find cures for painful, disabling, and sometimes life-threatening childhood FGIMDs. Join the campaign to make children’s GI conditions a thing of the past.
